Hiking in Iceland

Hiking in Iceland

Friday was a very busy day, we did 2 challenging hikes, saw the second highest waterfall in Iceland and got to explore a new part of the country.  We started off our day by picking up our rental car, definitely a must have if you want to get the most out of being in Iceland! We rented a car for pretty cheap from a place called Sad Cars, definitely not the best car but it got us from one place to the other and the price was unbeatable.  Unfortunately, the cheapest car was a standard, so lily drove and after some stalling out in the parking lot we were on our way.

The first hike we did was Glymur, an incredible waterfall well worth the hike.

The second hike we did was Mt. Esja, a very cold and windy hike but again, beautiful views.

So far we are loving everything about Iceland, it’s a beautiful country and there are so many things to do!
